Alpha-Lipoic Acid for Diabetes Therapy


Alpha-Lipoic acid is an antioxidant that can be used successfully by the person with diabetes to help improve diabetic neuropathy and its complications. There've been studies done that show this antioxidant not only helps improve this condition, but it also shown is able to help reduce pain from diabetic complications.

This antioxidant is one of the natural ways that can be used in the daily diabetic therapy plan to regulate blood glucose in a way that the diabetic and avoid complications. Alpha-Lipoic acid has also been studied along with gamma-linolenic acid and found to help reduce pain even further in diabetics that have damaged nerve function. 

The study with the two combined used these twice daily for successful treatment of improving nerve damage in both type I and type II diabetics suffering these complications. Diabetics using this supplement should discuss it with their physician so that the proper blood levels and urine tests can be done to ensure optimum health.
