Combination Therapy

There are several types of diabetes combination pills, and this class contains pills like Glucovance. This is glyburide which is a sulfonylurea and metformin.

In research that has been done in some cases these combination diabetes pills can help the diabetic by preventing the diabetes related complication and the need to use injection types of insulin.

These medications combine two different classes of diabetes pills into one pill which cuts down on the amount of diabetes pills that would need to be taken and it also ensures that they work together in the body.

When being prescribed combination therapy it is important for the physician to know about any other medical conditions like heart disease, high blood pressure or kidney disease. This is because even though it is a combination therapy, there can be some medications that are not advisable to be used with some medical conditions or can even be dangerous.
