There is also large vessel disease which is also a complication of diabetes, this can involve the heart and blood vessels and is classified as macro vascular disease. This condition can also accelerate hardening of the arteries, known as atherosclerosis and lead to coronary heart disease. One of the symptoms of this condition is it can cause pain in the lower extremities due to lack of blood supply. Macro vascular disease can cause angina, heart attack and stroke. |
