What Is Type 2 Diabetes?

Type2 diabetes is a type of diabetes that causes an increase in the level of blood sugar in the body then the required amount of blood sugar level. Type 2 diabetes is also known as non-insulin-dependent diabetes and it differs from that of the type 1 diabetes. The body of the person suffering from type 2 diabetes continues little production of insulin which is not responded normally by the body.

In type 2 diabetes, the glucose produced by the body faces difficulty in entering the body cells and thereby is not able to supply required amount of energy. Hence the glucose gets accumulated thereby raising the blood sugar level in the body which boosts the pancreas in the production of insulin. Pancreas gets tired in producing extra insulin overtime and it may happen that after some time they are not in a state to produce a sufficient amount of insulin. Genetic factors, heredity, excessive fats deposited in the body, obesity, and hormonal changes are some of the factors responsible in the development of type 2 diabetes.

It may happen that people suffering from type 2 diabetics do not experience any symptoms. Teenagers and kids suffering from type 2 diabetes may develop symptoms such as frequent urination throughout the day, feeling fatigue and often getting thirsty.
