Mononeuropathy


Mononeuropathy is a class of the symptoms that can be suffered from when having the diabetic condition of diabetic nuropathy. When the diabetic is suffering from monoeuropathy the condition means they are can cause severe pain that usually affects one nerve that can be in the arm, leg or face. When the main diabetic condition is treated successfully the pain will diminish on its own and cause no long term problems. The symptoms that can be involved are:

 

  • Double vision or trouble focusing the eyes
  • An ache behind one eye
  • Pain in the front of the thigh
  • Pain in the shin
  • Pain in the foot
  • Abdominal pain
  • Chest pain

There can also be conditions like carpal tunnel syndrome because mononeuropathy can cause a nerve to be compressed.
The symptoms of mononeuropathy do not always mean that there has been permanent nerve damage done, but it is a condition that does require medical care.
