Diabetic Hyperosmolar Syndrome Complications


Diabetic hyperosmolar syndrome can result in complications that can include convulsions or coma when not brought under control as quickly as possible. These are two of the reasons why this diabetic condition needs be treated as quickly as possible at first symptoms of a physician or hospital emergency room.

The other possible complications that diabetic hyperosmolar syndrome can lead to is kidney damage if the muscles and fibers the body in the breakdown. Left without proper treatment this condition can also cause blockages within the blood vessels that can lead to heart attack or stroke.

Diabetic hyperosmolar syndrome is one of the type II diabetic conditions that should be treated with prompt medical care as kidney damage; coma or blockages in the blood vessels can be fatal for the diabetic. These are reasons why the decision immediately to testing to diagnose the condition followed by a treatment plan to return to glucose level into the normal range relieving the symptoms of this condition.
