Vitamin E and Diabetes Therapy


Vitamin E is one of the vitamins that is useful in diabetes therapy to maintain their blood glucose levels without suffering complications. One of the reasons that this vitamin is important in maintaining the blood glucose level and avoiding complications that are often part of being diabetic is because it can help prevent distructive damage to the vascular system.One the other things that vitamin E is known for when being used in diabetes therapy is that there is evidence this vitamin can help decrease the requirement of insulin by the diabetic. Vitamin E should be taken properly as the body can only use a certain amount daily and the physician should be aware that vitamin E is being taken.

There are no known side effects or drug interactions with the use of vitamin E and daily in the maintenance regiment for treating diabetes. This is also a vitamin that can be found naturally in whole wheat products, wheat, green leafy vegetables, fruits, milk and raw seeds.
